George Baker sold over 20 million records world wide, has been living in Waddinxveen for years, but his new website is from Groningen.
A website for a Dutch celebrity of course can't just be published on the internet, it has to be launched. Therefor the new website was celebrated during a Launchparty organized by AnchorMen, the company from Groningen who developed the website. Of course George Baker himself attended the party to perform for the guests.
AnchorMen organised the Launchparty for business relations. The party was hosted in the building of rowing society De Hunze located at the Praediniussingel, just across the street from AnchorMen's office.
120 people witnessed the launch of the new website. George Baker accepted his new website symbolically, which was printed on a cardboard sign for the occasion. After accepting the website, George Baker of course entered the podium for a small concert. An enthousiastic crowd sang along songs like 'Una Paloma Blanca' and 'Little Green Bag'.
According to Martin Schepers, one of AnchorMen's owners, the party excited his staff and business relations. "The atmosphere was fantastic and the evening was a big success!"
